Radio & Weasel was a Ugandan musical duo consisting of Moses Nakintije (known as Moses Radio) and Douglas Mayanja (known as Weasel). They operated under the Goodlyfe Crew label and blended smooth R&B vocals with reggae, ragga, and dancehall influences. The duo achieved significant popularity in Uganda before Moses Radio’s death in 2018.
Formation and Backstory
Moses Radio and Weasel were originally lead performers in the larger collective Goodlyfe Crew, a Ugandan music group that also included members such as Chagga, Lenin Briton, and Lawrence. Their chemistry led them to form a separate act known as Radio & Weasel, releasing music together while still being associated with Goodlyfe Crew. The partnership continued until Moses Radio’s untimely death on 1 February 2018 after an assault in Entebbe.
Style and Influences
Moses Radio contributed smooth R&B vocal lines, while Weasel added a fusion of reggae, ragga, and dancehall vibes. This combination created a distinctive sound that appealed to both urban and mainstream Ugandan audiences, bridging Western R&B sensibilities with East African dancehall rhythms.
Following Moses Radio’s death, the duo ceased activity. Weasel has pursued solo projects and continues to be involved in the Ugandan music scene.

Legacy and Notes
Radio & Weasel are remembered for popularising a hybrid R&B‑dancehall style in Uganda and for their role in expanding the reach of Goodlyfe Crew. Their music remains influential among contemporary Ugandan artists, and the tragic loss of Moses Radio highlighted issues of safety in nightlife venues.
